CME open time
The trading week opens Sunday at 6:00 PM ET (5:00 PM CT), and each weekday session reopens at the same time after the daily break.
CME close time
Globex closes at 5:00 PM ET (4:00 PM CT) every weekday for a one-hour maintenance break, and for the weekend on Friday at the same time. The daily settlement price, used for margin and profit and loss, is set earlier in the afternoon and depends on the product, as in the table.
Holidays
On US holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas and Independence Day, CME closes early or doesn’t open, and hours can differ by product. The live status above doesn’t know about holidays, so check CME Group’s holiday calendar.

Sunday at 6:00 PM ET (5:00 PM CT) for most futures, then again at the same time each weekday evening after the daily break.

Most futures pause at 5:00 PM ET (4:00 PM CT) every weekday, and close for the weekend on Friday at that time.
Is CME open on weekends?
No. Trading stops Friday at 5:00 PM ET and restarts Sunday at 6:00 PM ET.
What is the CME maintenance window?
The daily break from 5:00 to 6:00 PM ET (4:00 to 5:00 PM CT), when Globex stops trading most products.
Do grain futures have different hours?
