This explains what LemonTrades (lemontrades.app) collects, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. LemonTrades is an AI market news desk for traders: it sends news alerts, economic calendar alerts and morning briefs for the markets you follow, and answers your questions through Twan, our AI analyst.
What we collect
- Your account: your name and email address, and your password, which we store only in hashed form.
- If you sign in with Google: your name, email address and profile picture from your Google account (see "Google sign-in" below).
- Your settings: the markets you follow, your priority topics, your alert and brief preferences, and your time zone.
- Connected channels: your Telegram chat ID when you connect Telegram, and your Discord webhook URL if you add one.
- What you do in LemonTrades: the questions you ask Twan and his answers, feedback you send, the invite code you used, and a record of which alerts and briefs we sent you.
- Security data: your sign-in sessions, including the IP address and browser type, kept to secure your account.
- Your browser stores a sign-in cookie and a few display preferences, like dark mode. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use it
- To run LemonTrades: send your alerts and morning brief, answer your questions, and show your feed, calendar and scorecard.
- To keep accounts secure, prevent abuse and apply limits.
- To improve LemonTrades, using your feedback and usage counts.
- To contact you about your account, for example to confirm your email or send a password reset link.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.
Google sign-in
If you choose "Continue with Google", Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us. We use them only to create your LemonTrades account, sign you in and keep your account secure. We don't request access to your Gmail, contacts, calendar, files or any other Google data. We don't sell this information, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone except the providers listed below that host LemonTrades. LemonTrades' use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Deleting your account deletes this information.
Who we share it with
Only what each one needs:
- Cloudflare hosts LemonTrades, stores our database and sends our account emails.
- Anthropic: Twan's answers are written by Claude. To answer you, we send Anthropic your question, your recent conversation with Twan, and your name, markets, topics and time zone.
- Google: Gemini scores news headlines, with no personal information. If you use Google sign-in, Google handles that sign-in.
- Telegram and Discord carry the messages we send you, if you connect them.
- Feedback you send is shared with our team, including through Telegram.
- Authorities, if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account exists. When you delete your account, we immediately delete your account, settings, Twan conversations, feedback and delivery history. Copies in database backups and service providers' logs expire within about 30 days. Content we write for everyone, like alerts and briefs, contains no personal information and stays.
Your choices
- Change your settings, disconnect Telegram or Discord, or delete your account at any time in Settings.
- Ask us for a copy of your information, or to correct it, using the Feedback button in the app.
- Depending on where you live, you may have other rights (for example under the GDPR or the CCPA), including the right to complain to a data protection authority.
Security
LemonTrades uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), and passwords are stored only as hashes. No system is perfectly secure, so use a password you don't use anywhere else.
Children
LemonTrades isn't for anyone under 18.
