Most market news doesn’t matter to you. Some of it matters a lot. Here’s how LemonTrades tells the difference.
1. Read everything
Every two minutes the desk pulls the newest headlines from about 20 sources, including Bloomberg, The Wall Street Journal, CNBC, investingLive, FXStreet, BBC, Al Jazeera, CoinDesk, Cointelegraph and Decrypt, Reuters through news search, and Yahoo Finance for each US stock someone follows. Prices are checked every minute.
2. Score every headline for every market
AI reads each new headline and scores it from 0 to 10 for every market in the catalog. A Fed headline might be an 8 for the Dollar Index, a 7 for gold and a 3 for Bitcoin. It also tags topics, like inflation, Treasury yields or interest rates.
Anything that scores 3 or more for a market goes on that market’s news wire in your feed.
3. Write the big ones up
Breaking stories that score 6 or more go to a second, stronger model, which writes one alert with a line for each market it affects: which way it pushes, and why. Each alert says how sure we are:
- Confirmed: reported by a major outlet.
- Single source: one outlet so far.
- Unconfirmed report: a claim that hasn’t been checked yet.
If Reuters, Bloomberg, the WSJ, CNBC, the BBC, AP or the FT reports the same event within a day, the desk checks that it really is the same story. Then the alert switches to confirmed, and everyone who got it gets a short “✅ Confirmed” follow-up.
Scheduled releases, like CPI or payrolls, are left to the calendar alerts, so nothing arrives twice.
4. You decide what reaches you
Each alert is written once and goes to everyone who follows an affected market. What you get depends on your settings:
- How many alerts: More alerts (6+), Balanced (7+), Major only (8+) or Shocks only (9+).
- At most per hour: a cap, so a busy hour doesn’t bury you. Shocks (9–10) always get through.
- Quiet hours: overnight, only shocks get through. Everything still waits for you under the bell.
- Priority topics: news on your topics reaches you even when it doesn’t name your market, needs one point less to alert, and skips the hourly cap.
Want everything? The newest wire headlines for your markets can also arrive on Telegram and Discord as one silent message after each scan.
AI can misread a headline. The labels are there so you know how much weight to give an alert: check the source before acting on anything important.
