Meet Twan, the desk’s analyst

Ask anything about your markets. Twan checks prices, the news wire and the calendar before he answers.

Twan (call him lil twan) is the desk’s AI analyst. Ask him anything about your markets, on the web or on Telegram.

What would a hot CPI print mean for gold?
Twan · 8:02 AM
Usually it’s a headwind. A hot print lifts the dollar and real yields, and gold pays no interest, so it gets less attractive to hold.
  • The 10-year yield is at 5.10%, down 18bp this week. A hot number could reverse that.
  • Levels to watch: support at 4,104, resistance at 4,181.
Checked calendar · prices · yields · morning brief

He looks before he answers

Most chatbots answer from memory, and markets don’t sit still. Before Twan answers, he checks the desk’s own data:

  • Live prices and key levels for your markets
  • The news wire and recent alerts
  • The economic calendar, with previews of what’s coming
  • Your morning brief and the bias scorecard
  • US Treasury yields
  • And the web, when the desk doesn’t have it

Under each answer he lists what he checked, so you know where it came from.

Questions to try

  • Why did gold drop this morning?
  • What’s on the calendar this week that could move EUR/USD?
  • Where are the key levels for the Nasdaq today?
  • How have your gold calls done this month?

On the web and on Telegram

Open Ask Twan in the app, or connect Telegram in Settings and just send a message: in a connected chat, any message is a question. The web and Telegram share one conversation, so you can start at your desk and carry on from your phone. /new starts a fresh one.

What he won’t do

Twan gives analysis, never buy or sell orders, and he doesn’t know your account or your finances. Like any AI he can be wrong, so check anything important before you act on it.

During the beta you can ask him 30 questions in any 24 hours.

His avatar is from Open Peeps by Pablo Stanley, through DiceBear.
